Keeping you, your people and our team safe
Some companies only pay lip service to Health & Safety but that’s not the way we do things at Excel. In our view, Health & Safety isn’t about ticking boxes or looking good on paper. It’s about understanding and managing the risks of the operation so that everybody’s health is protected; that includes your staff, our staff, in fact anybody that is in the vicinity of the work that we are doing.
By its very nature our work is hazardous and that’s why we take every precaution to prevent the possibility of an accident by carefully assessing each and every working environment. Our team are required to operate within a strict Health & Safety framework backed by a comprehensive and realistic Health & Safety policy while we continually monitor new products and methods so that we can constantly introduce new and safer ways of working.
Peace of mind – it starts with our risk assessments and runs through everything that we do.
Operating safely is in everyone’s best interest and our
commitment to this is reflected in our high standards of professionalism
when it comes to Health & Safety. To help us to achieve these high
standards we employ NorthgateArinso as our Health & Safety partners
and have accreditation to both SAFEcontractor and Chas schemes. That
sort of commitment goes way beyond mere lip service.
Before we commence a project, a full and comprehensive risk
assessment is made, a detailed method statement drawn up, a Coshh
assessment is completed if it is required, the team are taken through
all of these and then you will receive a copy of each document along
with copies of our insurance documents. Before a window gets wet or a
hose pipe is plugged in we’ve already considered every possible risk to
minimise its potential impact.
